Headshot of Oriana Maldonado, Audiologist at Pacific Audiology in Portland, OR

Oriana Maldonado, Au.D.

Audiologist

Oriana Maldonado earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from Pacific University and her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Central Florida. During undergrad, she was an assistant to an audiologist at the campus clinic. Before investing in grad school, she worked as a patient care coordinator at a hearing aid clinic in South Florida. After Pacific University, she worked at an ENT practice in the Portland area for 5 years as one of their clinical audiologists before joining Dr. Bradley’s team.

Dr. Maldonado was inspired by a college friend who was a newborn hearing tech at a hospital nearby her campus. She encouraged Dr. Maldonado to pursue the possibility of being an audiologist. Now, she enjoys helping patients improve their quality of life via hearing better as well as working with a dynamic group of colleagues who have the same goal in mind for their patients.

As an audiologist, Dr. Maldonado always considers what her patients need for their lifestyle in order to set the best treatment plan for them in regard to amplification. She likes to set realistic expectations and counsel on effective communication strategies as they acclimatize to their hearing devices.

Dr. Maldonado enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and shih tzu. Depending on the season or weather, she likes to travel and explore the PNW with her husband. During rainy days, you’ll always find her doing something different, from film photography, ceramics, painting, reading, to learning piano.

She has presented at conferences around the PNW about cochlear implantation and has been on the board of the Oregon Academy of Audiology. She has a young son, a dog, and a cat, all of whom fight for equal space on the couch. In her spare time, Lindsey quilts, gardens poorly, and has been trying her hand at other crafting endeavors.
